The Singapore Tatler-Thomson Grand Golf Day got off to a good start at the Singapore Island Country Club, but torrential rains in the late afternoon deterred golfers from completing the course.

Nevertheless, the green saw an impressive show, especially from Dennis Poh, who won the novelty nearest to the pin prize; Ng K Noh taking the longest drive; and Jackie Williams swinging nearest to the line, and the day was capped off with a hearty dinner of local and international dishes.
