If your idea of a romance involves gazing at your significant other over a fine meal in a cosy setting, make plans for an evening out at Boathouse.

Set in the iconic The Fullerton Waterboat House, Boathouse offers modern French cuisine in a quaint setting that displays evidence of its place in Singapore’s history since 1919. Whitewashed walls and wood accents form the understated backdrop for a menagerie of antique pictures and curios, and the restaurant exudes a warm, intimate feel.

This Valentine’s Day, Boathouse proposes a romantic three-course dinner, Menu L’Amour. Whet your appetite with an amuse bouche of tartare of Scottish langoustine with clear lobster jelly, langue d’Oursin and smoked caviar, followed by a starter of fine tarte of Brittany smoked eel with potato confit, sweet horseradish emulsion and osietra caviar. The main event is a red mullet roasted to perfection and served with squid from Brittany, crostini of foie gras, and sauce a la setois. Finally, a ‘surprise’ dessert promises to end the meal on a sweet note.

The Boathouse Menu L’Amour is priced at $131.40 nett, with two seatings at 6.30pm and 8.30pm, and a choice of indoor or al fresco seating.
