Benefits of Flower Essences

tiana_flower_2.jpg

I've been fascinated with flower essences for years. My first experience was with Bach's Rescue Remedy about ten years ago. I can testify how effective flower essences are because in the past, when I wanted to find my inner zen, I found that the impact the flower essence had on my body was fast. I must admit I was rather doubtful at first, but as I continued using it and as I slowly opened up to the idea that flowers can heal, I was more amazed at the results I saw from taking them.

Flower essences have proven to be wonderful in helping with different aspects of tension and emotion. Flower essences are infusions of herbs and the flowering parts of flowers. Each essence addresses different emotional and mental aspects of wellness. Edward Bach, the man who created Rescue Remedy, was the first to formulate essences.

Flower essences work by looking at the feelings, emotions and energy surrounding an individual. They work on a higher consciousness level, specific flower essences has helped me at different times and moments in my life, and while it’s hard to identify how they have helped me, all I can say is that they have worked.

I remember clearly taking walnut essence when I was near someone who stressed me out - whose energy I found was hard to be around. Walnut helped me to relax without being affected by this person's energy. Whenever I used a few drops of this essence onto my tongue, I felt calmer, more assertive and confident, which helped me in stressful scenerios, such as the case when I found that I could express myself better to my boss without fearing the opinion of my immediate superior at work when I took walnut essence.

Flower essences are usually taken in small doses and delivered with a dropper, they are either mixed with water or taken directly by placing a few drops on the tongue. In some cases, they can be used as creams, in baths or sprayed in a room.
Here are a few flower essences made by Bach and below I have listed their benefits:

Chestnut Bud: This essence is used for people who often make the same mistakes in life.

Cherry Plum: For people with irrational thoughts.

Larch: For people with no confidence.

Honeysuckle: For people who are homesick or always looking to the past.
